Peter & Mary Walker: Happiness at high age. Sometimes we can hardly believe it ourselves, but it's true: we have been happily married for over 40 years now. Nowadays that's a rare situation! Of course we had our off days, but we managed to overcome them together. And when we encountered real problems we discussed them together in a way to search for the best solution. Maybe because we never built unnecessary dream castles. We didn't need a cruise to the Caribbean or expensive juwelry. We got more joy from the smaller things in life. Like nice get togethers with friends, the sunday tea club, or drinking a good glass of wine with the neighbours. And last but not least our family. The twinkling eyes of our daughter when she got Kevin. The first schoolday of our grandson. These are with certainty moments Peter and I will never forget. "Carpe diem", like the old Romans already said. Seize the day, as long as you can! As already mentioned, happiness is closer by than you might guess at first. In the own garden, a walk in the garden, a day trip with family. And when we do need technical tools (like stairlifts or platform lifts), that can support us to stay happy and on the move, why not?   next
